Farm Profile: The indigenous people living in the southern Guji zone of Shakiso, where the Kayon Mountain farm is located are known as Gujii Oromo and have a long history of coffee farming in the region.  The Kayon Mountain farm is a small family owned and operated farm.  They have built out their own wet and dry milling facilities.  This facilities handle all post-harvest milling, inspect for quality coffee only and prepare finished coffee for export.  As with most Ethiopian coffee, this coffee is dry processed and the whole coffee cherries were dried on raised beds in the sun for an entire month after harvest.
